CABLING

What is Cabling:

Cabling is a main part of networking ,without cabling long and best networking is impossible.there are many different types of cable used in networking ,it is used according  to there requirement and uses.there are mainly six type of cable are define in cabling according to there uses and capacity.that are

  • LAN cable /Ethernet cable.
  • Serial cable.
  • Consol cable.
  • Coaxial cable.
  • Octale cable.
  • Fibre cable.

LAN(Ethernet) Cable:
  • In this cable contains 8 wires .that is orange, white orange, green, white blue, blue, white green ,brown, white brown.
  • It is connected by RJ 45 connector.
  • Data supply only 100 metre in a srong way.
  • LAN / Ethernet cable are of two types that are UTP(unshielded twisted pair) cable and STP(shielded twisted pair ) cable.
  • According to the connectivity it is divide in two parts (1) straight cable .(2) Cross cable.

straight cable:  the connectivity is as 'A 'side  also connected as it is in 'B' side of cable connector. it is used for different- different device conectivity.
Cross cable:This cable used rule of vice versa(1connected to 3 ,and 2 connected to 6). It is used for same device connectivity,.

Serial cable:-

  • This cable is used to connection of two router.in wan connectivity.
  • It is also known as T connection.
  • Bandwidth =1.5444 Mbps.
  • There are two side in serial cable
  •  (1) DCE(Datacommunication equipment ) ,this side is for isp side to speed define.
  • (2) DTE(Dataterminate Equipment),this side is for user side/ customer side.

Consol Cable:-

To confiqure Router & Switch to through computer. in console cable side A used RJ 45 and side B used comort.

COAXIAL CABLE:: this is basicaly used in video conferency.

  • Opticle fibre Cable:-
    • To supply data in Gbps.
    • Light base working.
    • Direct connectivity between ISP to customer.

Octale cable :  This cale used basically to manipulating more network in connectivity of routers.
